Our client based in North Action are looking to appoint a Warehouse Logistics Manager to join their team on an full time permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for a junior to step up or someone with 3-4 years of experience, salary is reflecting upon this. Please note this role is based within the Food Industry so previous experience in this industry is essential. Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 DOE Working Hours: Monday Friday 08::00 Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer Key Contacts: Head of Procurement, Production Manager, Planning Manager Job Purpose: To actively ensure operations are running in the most efficient and timely manner to maximise business output. Working in partnership with the procurement, production and planning teams to increase output and business growth. Time Management: 30% Warehouse team management and office work (reporting, scheduling finished goods deliveries, etc) 10% Project management (continuous improvement of systems & processes) 60% Hands-on warehouse operations & management General Duties: • Setting KPIs/ goals for the team • Managing labour costs in the department and looking for efficiencies • Tracking and validating operating and finished goods logistics costs/invoices and looking for savings • Organising and communicating daily outbound and inbound • Coordinating staff through their working hours so they know what they have to do and what time everything is happening • Providing operational support where necessary (eg, building pallets, forklift operation, loading, covering breaks) • Following and building on plans for segregation and organisation of goods in company warehouses and off-site third party storage providers • Ensuring materials that are needed for the week are accessible • Supporting accurate inventory on Notazone and accurate data regarding BBE dates, locations, etc • Working closely with Procurement and Production Planning Managers to ensure that stock is on hand for orders and on min/max stockholdings based on space • Managing FIFO • Working closely with Sales and customers to design and implement product delivery processes for customers (e.g., system setup, booking process, shipping process, pallet configurations, box configurations, labelling) • Building and maintaining relationships with customers and 3pl partners to provide excellent service and continuous improvement • Reading and implementing procedures for delivery to customers, including guidelines on pallets, labels, barcodes, packing set up, etc. • Managing new product line set up at 3pl providers • Onboarding new delivery points set up with 3pl providers and researching best transport and off-site storage rates and optimal delivery schedules • Working closely with Procurement Manager to efficiently handle inbound deliveries of ingredients and packaging • Managing inventory levels and reconciling sales information with outsourced e-commerce fulfilment partner • Managing orders email to process all incoming orders • Creating all dispatch paperwork, including working with Technical team members to ensure appropriate export paperwork is prepared and provided • Checking orders before they are dispatched - Check BBE dates, MLOR, SKU accuracy, volumes etc • Monitoring finished goods inventory levels in partnership with Production Planning Manager • Booking outbound transportation / ensuring transportation is properly booked and checked daily for changes due to fast moving environment • Scheduling loading dock availability with Procurement manager, 3pl partners and suppliers • Sending ASN at all times • Tracking outgoing pallet details - including traceability • Following up with haulier/customers to ensure that everything is being delivered in a timely manner Ref: W40710 Due to high volumes of applications if you have not received a response within one week of applying please assume you have been unsuccesful at this stage
