Customer Support Engineer- Tech Bar - Bristol Overall Job Purpose: To attend our client's customer sites to provide support of IT hardware and software product support on "Tech Bar" days. Work efficiently and proactively to deliver IT support You may help with other customers. Driving to these sites twice a month, a vehicle will be provided. Main Duties of the Job: Hardware swap-outs Advice and Guidance on common off the shelf (COTS) software such as Microsoft Office applications and BH specific applications as agreed and where training provided Simple installation of customer provided equipment to desk Customer led configuration changes Printer maintenance Onsite fault finding in conjunction with the customer Rebuild of end user devices utilising customer provided image Testing customer equipment onsite Communicate with Cali Administration and the Branch throughout the day. Work a certain amount of overtime when required to do so. Must be able to embrace new technologies and adapt to change. Understand and adhere to all local site-specific Fire, Security and Health & Safety regulations. Ensure all incidents dealt with our processed on the appropriate call management system Must be always professional and presentable. Must have full UK driving Licence where required to perform the role. Be familiar with customer policies and processes where applicable Represent our client in a professional and positive manner at all times. Skills and experienceLaptop/Desktop setup and use. General Hardware knowledge Knowledge of current IT issues Experience of networked systems service desk and problem solving experience Proficient in Microsoft Windows\Office related products Proficient in industry standard hardware items Knowledgeable in IT best practices and procedures General understanding of ITIL terminology and practices Customer focus Remote assistance SC Cleared - willing to complete For more information please contact Marie - (phone number removed)
