Supply Chain Manager - Newbury Working closely with HQ/Factories in China and key stakeholders within the UK, managing the end-to-end supply chain Overseeing import of containers into UK/Irish ports tracking containers, verifying commodity codes, Incoterms, C88 Duty & VAT calculation provided by 3PL, Commercial invoice, Packing List, Bill of lading, scheduling deliveries to warehouse and reporting inbound stock status back to business. Verifying all supply chain invoices Warehousing, Transport, Freight and approving for payment by finance team Minimising import costs and finding solutions to avoid demurrage / storage, transport rate review, preventing failed or late delivery costs SAP maintenance: - Inbound stock monitoring, stock transfers, PGI/PGR for customer service and Finance, generating purchase requisitions for China to order stock with factories etc. Demand planning and forecasting with 1 direct report, in collaboration with sales managers to ensure sufficient stock levels are ordered with the factories in China to cover peak periods and sales promos Inventory management providing on site support at warehouse with process improvement, cost improvements with storage and distribution, stock take activity and reconciling issues with stock discrepancies Regular aged stock reviews to both prevent impending stock lines due to avoid additional costs to the business as well as clearance activity on already aged lines to prevent further financial penalties. KPI reporting and managing KPI s to ensure expected level of service is regularly exceeded and dealing with regular instances of KPI failures to prevent further occurrences Problem resolution and process improvement for any issues which involve supply chain. Carrying out root cause analysis and implementing changes to maintain improvements. Skills Required An effective communicator with a strong understanding of Supply Chain and Operational processes. Knowledge on the importance of streamlining operations and maximizing the effectiveness of all teams from manufacturing through to warehousing & logistics whilst minimizing wastage of both resources and time. Manage Suppliers and present KPI figures and high-level operational solutions to senior management and directors. Designing and leading changes to key areas of business risk including shipping, warehousing, and delivery processes. Reducing costs of wastage and warehousing, KPI improvements. Excel & SAP advantageous
