Davidson is seeking a Supervisor, Help Desk - Tyndall Air Force Base, FL.


Is in control of the Operations Center Branch as a Shift Supervisor of Operations Center Cyber Security Service Center. Responds to cyber controls service desk incidents, problems, and service requests. Manages the services desk and technical support operations. Supports field surveys, installation, and operational support. Provides technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software. Associated tasks include:
  • Screens, refers, and diagnoses internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of personal computers and related systems.
  • Installs, configures, and upgrades computer hardware and software.
  • Provides end-user software troubleshooting and support.
  • Applies advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions.
  • Provides troubleshooting and support.
  • Participates in the administration of e-mail systems.
  • Provides phone and help-desk support for local and off-site users.
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians, and may have limited supervisory responsibilities.
  • Analyzes customer needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements.
  • Required Tasks:
    • Supervises assigned technical support staff in support of networked and stand-alone computer users and systems
    • Supervises staff in recognizing, identifying, isolating, and resolving problems with information systems products and services
    • Supervises the installation, testing, and setup of new hardware and software
    • Assists subordinate technicians in resolving complex computer and/or network problems
    • Recommends new hardware and software as needed
    • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
    • Participates in special projects as required
    Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience. 5-8 years of related experience in data security administration. Passports are required to support on-site staffing and travel requirements. There will be CONUS and OCONUS travel for assessments, installations, and to support on-site sustainment. Cyber security certification by position is required (IAT I/IAM I)

    Desired Competencies/Education/Certifications:
    • Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in computer troubleshooting and support
    • Advanced knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications
    • Effective supervisory skills
    • May require professional certification in one or more specific technologies, depending on job assignment
    • Knowledge of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) security highly desired but not required.
    • Familiarity with USAF EITDR and DoD eMASS desired but not required.
    • Knowledge of DOD and Air Force DIACAP, Risk Management Framework (RMF), Information Assurance, and NETOPS is a plus.
    • Familiarity with NIST 800 series desired but not required.
    • Experience with DoD and US Air Force (USAF) desired but not required.
    Clearance Requirements:
    Must possess a Secret Security clearance
