Job Title: Site Surveyor Location: Seascale Duration: Contractor role ongoing Assystem are an Award-Winning International Engineering Design Consultancy with a global coverage who provide innovative and cutting-edge solutions to the nuclear sector. The Project: The project is one of the most important construction projects at the critical nuclear infrastructure Site, the plant will play a vital role in the site clean-up programme by taking materials recovered from the sites original plants and encasing it in concrete so it can be stored in a modern building. The Role: Surveyor Support the Lead Surveyor and undertakes surveying duties as assigned by them to prioritise services demand on the project Responsible for surveying and setting out complex systems, including Civil, Mechanical and Piping Equipment Responsible for undertaking as-built positional checks for the works Provide technical support to the project as subject matter expert Coach, mentor and develop less experienced surveyors / engineers to teach practicable survey / best practice techniques for setting out Ensure project quality assurance processes are fully complied with Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm. Your background: The role requires an individual experienced to survey and set-out complex large projects: Full knowledge/understanding of Structural monitoring is required Experience/working knowledge of modern monitoring systems including geodetic & geotechnical is advantageous Good interpersonal and communication skills are required, coupled with an ability to form effective relationships with partners under time pressure Demonstrates an understanding for project schedules, inter dependent activities, that facilities survey prioritisations Demonstrates a passion and excitement for his / her work. Tackles problems head-on and works to resolve them without delay; Membership of the Chartered Institute of Engineering Surveyors is desirable; A valid CSCS card is a requirement for this role. Good knowledge of AutoCAD, LSS, Leica Survey Equipment Good knowledge of BIM is desirable.Security clearance: Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
