About the Role
  • As a Data Steward Senior, you will be ona team of Data Stewards that is obsessed with knowing everything about their domains data andcontributing to initiatives that make an impact to our communities while allowing you to build your data and leadership skills.
  • You will develop an advanced knowledge of your domain's products and services and how data supports those offerings.
  • You will document metadata and lineage for your domain and understand and verify transformation logic.
  • You will identifydata to be used in key domain and enterprise projects and provide sourcing sign-off.
  • You will work with stakeholders and the domain to translate their needs into technical specifications that provide clear direction to data engineers to enhance current data products.
  • You will perform user acceptance testing including assisting in developing and running test cases based off business requirements.
  • You will classify data assets to meet regulatory and privacy requirements, including identifying PII and PCI data.
  • You will participate in creation of data quality rules including rule definition and verifying rules accommodate domain specific nuances.
  • You will evaluate, identify, and investigate data issues and assist Data Product Owner in developing a mitigation plan.
  • You will assist with third party data user coordination to ensure data is used according to user contracts.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or equivalency of 9 years of experience including 3 years of domain experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of assigned domain products, systems and workflows
  • Experience working under supervision to close data issues
  • Experience owning the business relationship to get business requirements and translate those into tech requirements for engineers
  • Experience performing user acceptance testing for data products
  • Basic knowledge of data management
  • Prior experience remediating data issues
  • Knowledge of assigned domain products, systems and workflows
  • Data classification and privacy experience.
  • Experience using Data Governance Tools
  • Knowledge of statistic, data science techniques and tools
  • Ability to pull data from SQL and/or noSQL platforms
  • 1 year of data steward experience
