IT Technician Sheffield £20,500 - £24,500 Monday to Friday. 8.30am 4pm. Part-time/Full-time 2-5 days per week This role is one required for an individual wanting part time or full time with flexibility on the amount of days, suited to the individual. The position is situated in a school in a thriving trust within Sheffield however, this role would require the post holder to drive across a number of different locations within this forward thinking Academic trust. Main duties include assisting staff and students with IT related queries, general maintenance and issuing of IT equipment along with troubleshooting and problem solving. Under direction from the IT Manager the post-holder will provide technical, hardware and software support to staff in relation to IT systems, specifically those systems that facilitate the effective delivery of teaching and learning. Ensure the smooth and effective delivery of IT services across the academy. Provide first level help desk support to users. Providing advice to teachers to facilitate the effective use of IT in the classroom including provision of classroom support where necessary. Ensure security, licensing and data protection policies are implemented. Undertake any training required to keep abreast of all changes in IT that are specifically related to the job role. The ideal candidate would be one with the following:- Problem solving skills Understanding of several different troubleshooting problems in supporting Windows 10, Office 365, Server 2012 Demonstrates experience of Active directory administration. Recent IT experience and sound technical knowledge. To be approachable and have excellent people skills. Outstanding organisation skills and keen attention to detail. A fundamental belief in the power of education to enable students to achieve anything they set their minds to. Minimum of A-C grade in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
