Duties: Support SMEs and entrepreneurs to develop their innovations and work with the research community to get the evidence that s needed to prove whether or not an innovation works. Directly supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) innovators and other types of companies to understand the NHS, providing support, advice and guidance on product development, market access, commercialisation, IP and value proposition to generate jobs and leverage funding for the companies we support. Providing support to a pipeline of commercial sector innovations with the potential to help respond to the challenges in our regional health and care system. Support the planning, management and delivery of key implementation projects Develop and maintain the evidence base for technologies adopted to support wider adoption and dissemination be supporting delivery of project to introduce innovative practices, products and services into health and care organisations to make a difference to patients and staff. be engaging regularly with clinicians, academics, industry representatives and colleagues from other NHSs and NHs organisations. work closely with other Projects Managers and Portfolio Coordinators within the team Requirements to apply for this role: Commercial experience in a health sciences related field (Desirable) and/or experience in NHS digital change projects Sound knowledge of evaluation approaches within NHS settings Ability to support evaluation and evidence-based delivery Understanding of information governance in the NHS Understanding of regulatory environment around Medtech and digital (e.g NICE, DTAC etc) An understanding of digital technologies in the health field would be advantageous Understanding of the NHS landscape including governance, commissioning, and procurement Understanding of the investment landscape (e.g. public body grants, angel and VC investment etc) An understanding of the barriers and challenges faced by innovators when scaling their business in the NHS Experience of presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders Experience of working with staff at all levels, including clinicians Experience of producing business cases, funding bids and reports Managing of budgets and resource allocation Working knowledge of the NHS system, especially ICS s Experience of managing and delivering a number of concurrent complex project on time and within budget Knowledge of using techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects, including risk management Experience of quality improvement and/or digital Understanding of NHS/public sector policy relevant health innovation and Medtech Experience of working with Project management software Awareness of budgeting and resource allocation Highly IT proficient
