Due to new work awards, our client a multi-disciplined EPC Design contractor are looking to add a Mechanical Designer to their team working from their offices in Stockton-On-Tees. The role will be a contract based position for an initial 9 12 months worth of work. It will be working a standard 37.5 hour week Monday Friday and will require someone to be in the office full time. A strong rate of pay is on offer for this role and is outside of IR35. About role: To work as part of a Design Team responsible for the production of technical documentation to high professional standards within challenging programmes and budgetsRequired experience / qualifications Layout experience using CAD is essential for this role Prepare and check layout, general arrangements, isometrics Co-ordinate/liaise with other Engineering disciplines Interpret Vendor and other discipline drawings Supervision of draughtspersons as determined by immediate supervisor Checking drawings prepared by others Work to time schedules and budgets Report to Engineers Comply with Company Quality Management Systems Other professional duties reasonably requiredEssential Qualifications Equivalent to UK Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering as minimum AutoCAD Certificate of Competence (Advanced Level preferred but not essential) or demonstrable experience qualifications Experience or knowledge of 3D design software preferred but not essential With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
