The Electrical Controls Technician will carry out planned preventative routine maintenance, breakdown maintenance and inspection & testing of equipment. Other duties would include first line defect identification & elimination through use of effective problem-solving techniques, carry out & refine maintenance routines, read & interpret manufacturers' drawings & manuals to develop and generate test / maintenance procedures. Client Details The client is a successful top tier COMAH site based in Huddersfield. The site is going from strength to strength and has large amounts of CAPEX budget being invested in the facility. Description The Electrical Controls Technician will work days Mon-Fri to: Carry out planned preventative routine maintenance, breakdown maintenance and inspection & testing of equipment. First line defect identification & elimination through use of effective problem-solving techniques Carry out & refine maintenance routines Read & interpret manufacturers' drawings & manuals to develop and generate test / maintenance procedures. Manage all site controls and automation systems ensuring they are fit for purpose at all times Actively seek and implement improvement opportunities with technical solutions Build training plan and documentation to develop onsite Electrical Technicians. Appropriate level of 3rd party/OEM support Actively seek cost saving opportunities on equipment, process and ways of working. Building up to full CAPEX project where required.Profile The successful Electrical Controls Technician will: Be apprentice trained Have their NVQ Level 3/4 and HNC (or HND) Good knowledge of CMMS (SAP) Have at least 3 years engineering experience working in a manufacturing environment Have a strong understanding of HSEQ Standards & requirements and their application, through safe systems of work, to working on a Top Tier COMAH site.Job Offer The Electrical Controls Technician will join a massively successful manufacturer that continues to grow year on year.
