The Project: The project is one of the most important construction projects at the critical nuclear infrastructure Site, the plant will play a vital role in the site clean-up programme by taking materials recovered from the sites original plants and encasing it in concrete so it can be stored in a modern building. The Role: Deputy Delivery Engineering Manager As the Deputy Delivery Engineering Manager you'll support the Area Project Manager (APM) and Delivery Engineering Manager (DEM) by co-ordinating and monitoring the production of key project documentation required to support delivery to achieve the goals and objectives of the project. You must be able to work well, flexibly and with enthusiasm in a large EPCC project team. The duties will be wide ranging to support the Area Team where directed and where the needs are found in project detailed design and in the engagement with Sub-contractors and the client. The duties shall include: Responsible to the DEM. Accountable to the APM. Production of key engineering strategies and documents required to support design delivery. Co-ordinate with project SMEs to manage the Area in CDM, UKCA, Human Factors and safety case documentation for meeting project requirements. Support the engineering leads with interfacing with the client Intellectual Customer to ensure the design milestones are met. Monitor the production, approval, impact assessment and implementation of Change Notification Forms and Design Change Proposals in accordance with the quality procedure. Where required, check and approve documents, when competent to do so. Manage and co-ordinate the review and approval of Sub-Contractor Technical Queries. Manage and co-ordinate the review and approval of Work Site generated Technical Queries. Manage and support engineering lead with Configuration Baseline Trackers throughout the work while working with the planning team. Support the DEM and APM with period end reviews.A full job specification is available with all responsibilities. Your background: You'll be Engineering Degree qualified preferably with Engineering knowledge and experience. No specific discipline preference is identified. You will be familiar with the format and working to an accredited quality management system. Finally, you be able to work to procedures and be able to assist the project team in understanding and implementing these. Work experience in the nuclear industry is preferred. Security clearance: Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
