We are working with premium stationery brand who offer both a fantastic culture and career development opportunities. They design truly beautiful and unique products sold by leading retailers across both the UK and globally. They are looking for an experienced and commercial Account Manager to join their vibrant team in Southwest London.

You will have the opportunity to manage their largest and most premium accounts alongsidethe Sales Director, maximising growth, and new opportunities, and presenting new collections to your customer base. This business is very active at industry trade shows where you will be representing the brand and meeting clients, being the brand ambassador.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years wholesale UK Account Management experience working with consumer products, either managing premium high street retailers or with the relevant product experience. You will have a positive and proactive approach, be customer experience focussed, and exceptional at building strong, enduring relationships, excellent Excel skills with a very commercial approach.

Your role as Account Manager will include:

  • Supporting and managing a portfolio of the biggest premium accounts
  • Developing strong, positive relationships with buyers, ensuring the best customer service is given at all times.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and growing accounts revenue with a measured, long-term strategy
  • Owning the turnover for your accounts, ensuring sales, profits and stock is maximised and exceeding targets
  • Effectively presenting new seasonal brand collections
  • Supporting accounts with product selection, stock enquires, and promotional requirements
  • Taking full responsibility for accurately inputting orders and managing backorders, ensuring any labelling / packaging requirements are communicated to the wider business to aid swift and accurate delivery
  • Ensuring customer orders are delivered in a timely and accurate manner, working alongside the Logistics, Warehousing, and Credit Control teams to do this
  • Monitoring stock ETAs for your accounts, ensuring all key dates are met, flagging any issues
  • Representing the brand at UK trade shows and meetings with retailers
  • Supporting the wider team with any required duties

Skills and experience required:

  • Excellent commercial experience in a similar wholesale Account Management position.
  • Experience managing premium accounts with a proven track record of exceeding targets or from a similar product background
  • A natural people person with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A love of retail with a commercial mind-set and an understanding of how to sell a brand
  • Highly analytical and numeric, with a strong understanding of forecasting and sales reporting
  • A proactive problem solver with the ability to foresee problems and propose solutions
